Samantha Mathews, MA, LPC, NCC

Sam received her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of the Cumberlands and her B.A. from The University of Mary Washington. She has worked in group private practice since 2020 after coming from outpatient community mental health providing comprehensive trauma treatment, as well as a domestic violence agency providing individual, group, and crisis counseling for survivors of family and intimate partner violence. Sam also has previous experience in outpatient addiction treatment. Sam is EMDR trained, a certified clinical trauma professional, and integrates multiple modalities into her work including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Sam also provides clinical supervision, consultation, and training.Sam and her husband have two kids, a dog, a cat and at about 100 laundry piles. Sam loves reading novels and biographies, listening to podcasts, the vast world of wine, a good theme party, Taylor Swift (especially Folklore & Evermore), local restaurants, and galivanting around Philly with her family.

Cassie Frame, MA
Children and Adolescent Therapist

Cassie Frame is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. She is currently working in intensive behavioral health services with adolescents in Philadelphia, as well as SMCC as a child and adolescent therapist. Cassie graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with her MS in mental health counseling in May 2025. She received her BA in psychology from Eastern University in 2022.
She has a passion for working with youth, as she believes the growth and development that occurs during this time is crucial to one’s mental health. She utilizes an eclectic, strengths-based approach, with a foundation in cognitive behavioral therapy. Therapy is not a one-size fits all, and Cassie works to connect with her clients, as the therapeutic relationship is essential to the treatment process. She has clinical experience working in schools and volunteer experience in the juvenile justice system. Outside of work she enjoys trying new coffee shops, listening to music, playing with her cat, beach days, and watching Netflix!

Selina Lockwood is a graduate of The Community and Trauma Counseling MS program at Thomas Jefferson University and currently teaches a women’s self-defense class on the Jefferson University campus. Her theoretical orientation aligns with feminist and existential theory, which she uses to support and validate women survivors of complex trauma. Selina also enjoys smashing the patriarchy and helping empower women with confidence-building exercises.

Liza Gallen

Liza Gallen is a Counseling Intern dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges—both big and small—with compassion, insight, and care. Liza is currently working toward a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands, where clinical skills and a commitment to ethical, client-centered care are the foundations of her practice.
Liza’s therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative, drawing from multiple modalities, including Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral approaches. Liza believes in meeting clients where they are, connecting past experiences to present patterns, and helping individuals recognize and build upon their inherent strengths. Grounded in empathy, understanding, and respect, Liza strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered to make meaningful change.

When she's not at work, Liza enjoys spending time outside (especially at the Wissahickon), grabbing coffee with friends, and spending time with her family. Her appreciation for connection and personal growth is carried into the therapeutic space, supporting clients as they move toward healing, clarity, and greater self-agency.

Michelle Galdames-Henry is a Mental Health Counselor with a dedication to providing equitable, accessible mental health care. Along with SMCC, Michelle works with adults and adolescents in non-profit and community mental health settings. Michelle received her MA in Clinical Counseling from Eastern University. She is passionate about walking alongside individuals in their healing and growth from trauma. She believes that the work of therapy is deeply wrapped up in the systems of which we are a part. Whether it be our family systems, generational influence, social circles, or society at large, we do not exist as a silo. This means therapy is not just focusing on the individual, but on the whole. Michelle utilizes creative, somatic, and attachment-based therapies within her insight-oriented approach. She also leans on the power of storytelling in the healing process. Michelle lives in beautiful Philadelphia with her husband, dog, two cats, and lizard where she enjoys time in coffee shops and precious green spaces.

Krista is a compassionate social worker with a deep passion for supporting survivors of trauma. Krista earned her bachelor's degree in social work at Eastern University. Krista has honed her expertise in providing case management services to individuals affected by domestic violence and human trafficking. Krista’s professional journey is driven by her commitment to social justice and advocacy. Through her work, she strives to create safe, supportive environments where survivors can heal, regain their independence, and thrive. Her experience allows her to offer tailored, empathetic support to each individual, recognizing the unique challenges faced by those who have experienced profound loss and harm. Krista lives in Philly where she loves to explore restaurants throughout the city. In her free time, Krista also enjoys cooking, watching Philly sports teams, and hosting game nights with her friends.

Michelle Galdames-Henry and Liza Gallen runs low-barrier in-person and online group therapy through Andrée Collective. Therapy is offered for adult female survivors of trauma on a pay-what-you-can bases. Michelle offers psychoeducational & processing trauma groups as well as art therapy trauma groups.
